1. Enhanced livelihood through the support of Micro finance.

Families are suffering to survive the economic crisis due to various factors especially the Covid pandemic. KIWI Fund has significant contribution to build trust and improve the livelihood of such individuals and families by providing micro finance support.

Parameshwary the mother of four children living in a village called Kandhinagar with his husband who works as a day labour. Even though her husband earns, it was a hard thing to fulfill the need of their family within the earnings because her husband was addicted to alcohol use. Parameshwary concerned about the education and the future of her children therefore she planned to engage in farming and intended to earn. But she did not have enough capital to start what she has planned.

Parameshwary did not give up and she reached KIWI Fund asking for the support. KIWI Fund realized her situation and provided her with micro finance support to start ground nut farming. She then continued according to her plan and started ground nut farming that gave her the earnings gradually. She also kept settling the micro finance little by little from the earnings. Parameshwary and her family have become to a position where they can fulfill their needs and wants.

Importantly it is 1 ½ year now since her husband has decided to get rid of alcoholic addiction by realizing the situation of his wife and the family. “I am feeling happy now than I did before when addicted to alcohol use and I have committed to work for the wellness of my family as this is my children’s desire” her husband said. When his son says, “the times when my father comes home used alcohol, I do not even like to speak with him. But now we love our father and we respect him”.

KIWI Fund sees the change, happiness, the success of a family and also the livelihood improvement. We consider this as a huge victory. We did not only provide micro finance and consider to collect the installments on time. Beyond that our intention is to support the individual and families to achieve the successful future of their children.
